Boland Rugby was established in 1939. It is the 11th oldest rugby province in South Africa with largest base of clubs in South Africa. Boland Rugby represents the biggest geographical rugby area in South Africa, consisting of 235 clubs and more than 15 000 players. Boland Rugby has a strong heritage and history of excellence and is fully committed to transformation in SA Rugby. Boland Rugby is the biggest producer of Springbok “players of colour” since unification.
